Same-day social cuts: 24-hour Reels from your Vegas event.

Video editor's workstation with timeline on monitor and Las Vegas Strip skyline visible through window at golden hour

A polished recap three weeks after the event is fine. A Reel posted before morning coffee is what actually grows the brand. Here's the workflow behind 24-hour same-day cuts in Las Vegas.

Why same-day matters

The social algorithm rewards posts that spark a conversation in the first hour. If your gala wrapped at 11pm and your team posts a Reel by 9am, you ride the natural buzz of every attendee texting friends about the night. Wait a week and you're posting cold content into a feed that has moved on.

The workflow, end to end

  1. Capture. We shoot vertical-conscious from the start. Wide cinematic for the hero film, plus tight 9:16 inserts for vertical cuts.
  2. Ingest. Cards rotate every 90 minutes to a SSD-backed edit station. Footage is in the timeline before the next set ends.
  3. Rough cut. Editor on site or remote drops a 30 to 60 second selects timeline. Music picked from a pre-cleared library matched to the event vibe.
  4. Approval. One link to your marketing team for sign-off. We aim for under a 2-hour turnaround on approval.
  5. Delivery. Final cut delivered as 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 versions to your shared drive, captioned and ready to post.
Edit station setup

MacBook Pro M3 Max with a Pegasus RAID array. DaVinci Resolve as primary, Premiere as backup. Hardwired upload to a shared Frame.io workspace. Proxy workflow keeps the timeline responsive even with 5K and 6K source files.

What gets prioritized

The same-day cut is not the place for deep color grading or sound design. We optimize for three things instead:

The full hero recap, fully graded and sound mixed, delivers on the standard 1 to 3 week timeline.
