Where to shoot in Henderson

The District at Green Valley Ranch. Open air streets, patios and storefronts. It is privately managed, so commercial filming needs property management approval and a certificate of insurance.
Water Street District. Downtown Henderson has brick, murals and event plazas that give a warmer, small town look than Green Valley.
Lake Las Vegas. Water, Mediterranean style architecture and mountain backdrops. The best golden hour location in the valley for hospitality and wedding content.
Resort interiors. Green Valley Ranch and the M Resort have controllable, well lit interiors. Casino floors carry strict rules about filming guests and gaming, so plan shots with the property.
Parks and desert edges. Cornerstone Park, the River Mountains Loop Trail and the Sloan Canyon area give clean desert landscapes minutes from town.
Your own space. For most Henderson businesses the right location is the one customers will actually walk into. It is free, authentic and needs no permit.

Permits, insurance and drone rules

Henderson is its own city, separate from Las Vegas and unincorporated Clark County, and that matters for paperwork.

City property needs a City of Henderson permit. Filming on streets, sidewalks and city parks is handled by Henderson, not by Clark County or the City of Las Vegas. Allow a couple of weeks.
Private property needs the owner. Shopping districts, resorts and office parks approve filming themselves and nearly always ask for a certificate of insurance naming the property.
Drone flights need airspace authorization. Henderson Executive Airport sits in the south of the city and much of the valley sits under Harry Reid International airspace. Summer heat is a production constraint. Outdoor shoots from June through September belong at sunrise or after 6pm. Cameras overheat and talent wilts at midday.
