A 30 Day Content Calendar for Las Vegas Restaurants and Bars, Built From One Shoot
Most restaurants and bars do not run out of ideas. They run out of footage. One planned filming day can fill a full month of posts, but only if you plan the month before the camera comes out. This is the calendar we use with Las Vegas venues, with a sample week and the shot plan behind it.
Why plan the posts before the shoot
When a crew shows up with no post plan, you get beautiful footage and a hard month. Nobody knows which clip is Tuesday's Reel, the vertical versions were never framed, and the cocktail everyone wanted was shot in the wrong light. Planning backwards fixes all three. Every shot on the list exists because a post on the calendar needs it.
A sample weekly rhythm
This is a starting point, not a rule. Some venues post daily and some post three times a week. What matters is that each slot has a job and a shot behind it.
| Day | Format | What it shows | Shot during |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | Photo post | Hero dish on the pass or the table, shot in daylight | Daylight block |
| Tuesday | Reel | Prep and kitchen rhythm: knives, flame, plating, 10 to 15 seconds | Daylight block |
| Wednesday | Story | Behind the bar, a poll or a question about the menu | Any block |
| Thursday | Reel | The signature cocktail, from pour to garnish to first sip | Night block |
| Friday | Photo post | The room at night, full and glowing, for weekend plans | Night block |
| Saturday | Reel | Energy: the room, the music, the table moments, with releases | Night block |
| Sunday | Story | Brunch, patio or a slow detail, plus next week's hook | Golden hour block |
Repeat the rhythm for four weeks with different dishes, drinks and moments, and leave a few slots open for news, events and anything timely.
The shot plan, grouped by light
Daylight block
- Hero dishes, plated and on the pass, from overhead, the side and close up.
- Prep and kitchen motion: chopping, searing, saucing, plating.
- The empty room with clean natural light, for the website and listings.
- The exterior and entrance, so guests recognize the place when they arrive.
Golden hour block
- Patio tables, terrace views and anything with the Strip or the mountains in the background.
- Lifestyle moments with a couple or a small group, with signed releases.
Night block
- The bar: pours, shakes, garnishes and the first sip.
- The room at full energy, with music, candles and movement.
- Short greetings or quick tips from the chef, the bartender or the owner.
Schedule the blocks around service. Daylight work usually happens before opening, golden hour lands at a different time each month, and the night block needs a full room or a staged one. Our Las Vegas weather and light guide lists sunset times by month.
Turn one setup into many posts
| Setup | Reel | Photo post | Story | Ad cut |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Signature cocktail | Pour to garnish in 12 seconds | The finished drink on the bar | Poll: which one next week? | Six second hook for paid |
| Hero dish | Plating sequence | Overhead and close up stills | Behind the pass | Offer or menu launch |
| Full room at night | Energy montage | The room from the best corner | Tonight at the venue | Event or weekend push |
| Chef or owner | Ten second tip | Portrait for the about page | Question and answer | Trust builder for new guests |
Las Vegas details that change the plan
- Venues inside resorts often need approval from the property for cameras, guests on film and drone use. Start that conversation early.
- Guests on camera need a signed release, and crowd shots work best with clear signage or a staged room.
- Music that is fine in an organic post is not always cleared for paid ads. Cut ad versions with licensed tracks.
- Seasonal content should be shot ahead. A holiday or New Year's look filmed in the fall is ready before the rush, which our filming day guide covers in detail.
- Fast turnarounds help for events. See our guide to same day social cuts.
How often to reshoot
A single day can fill a month, and a quarterly day can carry a season if the menu stays stable. Venues that change menus often, run weekly events or spend on ads usually move to a monthly filming day so the feed never repeats itself. Video narration
Read what the video says
Most restaurants and bars don't run out of ideas. They run out of footage.
One planned content day can give you a hero film, vertical reels, a photo library, ad cutdowns and stories.
The secret is to plan the posts before the camera comes out.
Map out the month first. Reels on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Photo posts on Monday and Friday. Stories in between.
Then shoot to that plan. Frame your reels vertically on set, and batch the day by light. Daylight dishes, a golden hour patio, and the bar at night.
One shoot. Thirty days of posts. Picture Perfect Video.
Common questions
How many posts can one filming day make?
It depends on the plan, the number of setups and the formats. A well planned day for a restaurant or bar is built to give you a lot: vertical Reels, a photo library, stories, short ad versions and often a short brand film. We plan the exact list for each project.
How often should a Las Vegas restaurant post on social media?
There is no single right number. Three to seven posts a week plus stories is a common range. Consistency matters more than volume, which is why a planned calendar helps.
Should Reels be filmed vertically?
Yes. Framing vertical shots at 9:16 on set gives better composition than cropping a horizontal frame later. We capture vertical and horizontal versions of the key moments.
Can we film guests in our restaurant?
Yes, with signed releases from anyone recognizable. Many venues stage a full room with friends, staff or invited guests to keep control of the look.
What time of day is best for food photos?
Daylight before service is easiest for plated dishes, and night is best for the bar and the room. Golden hour is the time for patios and exteriors.
