Las Vegas Convention Team Trips: Getting Your Team Around the LVCC
Sending a team to a show at the Las Vegas Convention Center is mostly a logistics job. People land at two terminals, sleep at four hotels, work in three halls and still need to be at the booth by 8. This guide covers the facts a team lead needs, taken from the LVCVA, the Las Vegas Monorail, the Vegas Loop and the airport, then shows how to put the whole schedule in one link the team actually opens.

Know the campus before you book hotels
The first planning mistake is treating the LVCC as one building. It is a campus, and the hall your booth or sessions sit in decides which hotels, transit and meeting points make sense. These are the LVCVA's own figures:
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Address | 3150 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109 |
| Campus | About 200 acres |
| Exhibit space | More than 2.5 million square feet |
| West Hall | About 602,000 square feet of exhibit space |
| North Hall | About 409,000 square feet of exhibit space |
| Central Hall | About 623,000 square feet of exhibit space |
| South Hall | About 820,000 square feet of exhibit space |
| Parking | More than 5,000 vehicles |
| Getting between halls | The LVCC Loop, free between campus stations |
Put the hall name and booth number next to every person's name on the team list. "See you at the LVCC" is the convention version of "meet at the casino": it sounds specific and is not.
Moving between halls with the LVCC Loop
The LVCC Loop is an underground system of tunnels with electric Tesla vehicles. The LVCVA says it is designed to move more than 4,400 convention attendees per hour between five stations on the campus, and that a trip which can take up to 25 minutes on foot takes about 2 minutes in the Loop. Travel between stations on the campus is free. Travel to stations outside the campus needs a ticket.
| Question | Answer, per the LVCVA and the Vegas Loop operator |
|---|---|
| Cost on campus | Free between LVCC stations; the operator says rides on campus are typically free with your event badge during a convention |
| Cost off campus | A valid ticket is required; ticket types include single ride, round trip and day pass |
| Waiting time | The operator gives a median wait of zero seconds, with a short 1 to 3 minute wait at peak times |
| Groups | A group of 3 or more is guaranteed a private vehicle |
| Bags | Bags must fit in the trunk, the front trunk or at your feet, without blocking doors |
| Hours | They vary by day, and the Convention Center stations can be closed when no event is running, so check the daily hours page |
Two practical notes. First, the West Hall connects to the rest of the campus in two ways: through the North Hall and the Paradise Bridge on foot, or from the Central Hall by going downstairs to the Loop. Second, if your team splits between a West Hall booth and Central Hall sessions, build the Loop ride into the schedule instead of assuming everyone knows it exists.
Getting from Strip hotels with the Monorail
The Las Vegas Monorail runs a 3.9 mile route from the MGM Grand on the south Strip to the SAHARA on the north Strip, with seven stations. One of them is the Boingo Station at Las Vegas Convention Center. The Monorail says trains arrive every 4 to 5 minutes during large conventions and take at most 10 minutes to reach the convention center from any point on the line.
| Ticket | Full fare at the station | eTicket bought online |
|---|---|---|
| One ride | $6.25 | $5.75 |
| 1-Day Pass | $15.50 | $13.95 |
| 2-Day Pass | $27.00 | $24.45 |
| 3-Day Pass | $33.00 | $30.85 |
| 4-Day Pass | $40.00 | $38.10 |
| 5-Day Pass | $48.25 | $45.85 |
| 7-Day Pass | $64.00 | $59.95 |
Paper tickets bought at stations are full fare, and discounts are online only. The arithmetic for a team is simple: at $5.75 a ride, a 1-Day eTicket at $13.95 pays for itself on the third ride, and a team member riding twice a day for three days would spend $34.50 on single rides against $30.85 for a 3-Day Pass. Also check whether your show has arranged a Monorail discount, and if you are the organizer, the Monorail says there are no contracts, fees or minimums to set one up for a convention or group.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Stations | MGM Grand, Horseshoe/Paris, Flamingo/Caesars Palace, Harrah's/The LINQ, Boingo Station at LVCC, Westgate, SAHARA |
| Monday | 7 a.m. to midnight |
| Tuesday to Thursday | 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. |
| Friday to Sunday | 7 a.m. to 3 a.m. |
| Trains | Nine trains of four cars, each carrying up to 222 passengers |
The Monorail posts modified hours on some dates, so check its notice before a late booth teardown or a team dinner that runs past midnight.
From the station to your hall. The Boingo Station sits above East Desert Inn Road at Paradise Road. When you exit, you are on an elevated bridge: one side leads to the North and Central Halls across the north Silver lot, and the other side leads to the South Hall across the south Silver lot. For the West Hall, go through the North Hall and use the Paradise Bridge, or take the Loop from the Central Hall.
Arrival day at Harry Reid International Airport
A team rarely lands together. Send each person the pickup point for their terminal before they fly, and meet at the hotel, not the curb.
| Terminal | Rideshare (Uber, Lyft) | Taxis |
|---|---|---|
| Terminal 1 | Level 2 of the parking garage | Outside baggage claim on the east side, near doors 1 to 4 |
| Terminal 3 | Valet Level of the parking garage | Level Zero, near door 52 |
The Vegas Loop also lists airport pickups, with limited availability while it expands. At Terminal 1 the operator directs riders down to the Zero Level from baggage claim, and at Terminal 3 out through Door 53 to the benches by the Courtesy Vehicles Only sign. Check the operator's site for real time availability before you put it in the team plan.
A one day plan your team can follow
Here is a sample show day for a team with a booth in one hall and meetings in another. The times are an example to adapt, not a rule.
| When | What happens | What the team needs to know |
|---|---|---|
| Before 7 a.m. | Booth crew leaves the hotel | Monorail station or rideshare point, the hall entrance and a booth number |
| Doors open | Booth staffed | Who is on the first shift and where badges and supplies are |
| Midday | Meetings in another hall | Which hall, the room number, and the Loop as the way across |
| Afternoon | Shift change | Where the hand off happens, with a photo of the exact spot |
| Evening | Team dinner or client event | Address, a map pin, dress code and a ride plan home |
| Next morning | Changes from last night | One updated plan, not a thread of forty messages |
A checklist for the team lead
- Collect flights early with the terminal for each person, and send the matching pickup point.
- Map every hotel to a route. A Monorail station, the Loop or a rideshare plan, written down for each hotel.
- Name the hall and booth in every message, and add the Loop between halls to the schedule.
- Pick meeting points with a photo, a time and a map pin. Convention halls look alike.
- Decide on Monorail passes before arrival and buy eTickets online, since station tickets are full fare.
- Check hours for late nights. Both the Loop and the Monorail post daily and modified hours.
- Choose one place for changes. Shift swaps and moved dinners should reach everyone at once.
If your company is also exhibiting, the booth needs content as much as the team needs a schedule. We film at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and our trade show videography page covers booth video and same day social cuts.
Put the convention schedule in one link with Passage
Passage is the custom trip app we build for groups, and a convention team is a group trip with a dress code. You send the plan in any format, a spreadsheet, a PDF or an email, and we turn it into an app with your company name on it.
| Feature | What it does at the LVCC |
|---|---|
| Today's plan | Shifts, meetings and dinners for the day, in order, with times |
| Meeting points | A photo of the exact spot, a time and a Go button, so West Hall is not a guess |
| Maps | Hotels, halls, stations and dinner on one map, one tap for directions |
| Live updates | A moved shift or dinner reaches every team member on the same link |
| Your branding | Your company name, colors and photos, not a generic template |
| Nothing to download | The team opens one link on any phone, protected by a trip password, and can save it for offline use |
After a free call we build a free preview within 48 hours, and the full app is ready in five business days. Planners who handle trips for several clients can see the group trip app checklist for travel advisors, or read how a PDF itinerary becomes a trip app.
